Clear Lake High School recognized 4×4 award winners at a recent basketball game. To achieve this accomplishment, a student athlete needs to participate in four sports in each of their four years of high school. This is a very prestigious accomplishment that takes a lot of time, perseverance, effort and commitment to achieve. The four recipients are 2022 graduates of CLHS. The athletes received a trophy signifying their achievement and a picture plaque compliments of Bio Securities Services. Handing out the awards and representing Bio Securities Services was AJ Feuerbach. Those receiving the award are (L-R): Autumn Van Horn, Ashlyn Fread, Emily Theiss and Layne Lester. Van Horn participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball. She currently plays soccer at NIACC and is studying Criminal Justice. Fread participated in volleyball, basketball, tennis and softball. She currently attends the University of Nebraska and is studying Animal Science. Theiss participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer and softball. She currently plays college basketball at Iowa Central and is studying Elementary Education. Lester participated in volleyball, basketball, track & field and softball.
