Unseasonably warm temperatures have resulted in ice covered everything in the past week — except on the Marian Park Ice Rink. Clear Lake Parks Director Jim Jackson said inconsistent temperatures have prevented creation of the local rink. However, Jackson said he has been asked to explore skating rink options which may be considered in the future, but cautions city leaders are a long way from making a decision about a rink. Many years ago a city ice rink was located in front of the Sea Wall. Last weekend a private party cleared snow at the site for skaters.
