The Mason City Airport Commission has narrowed its choice for a general contractor to build a new airport terminal.
The group met last week to review a second round of bids. Three bids were initially received for the project, however all were rejected because they didn’t meet certain criteria.
On Thursday, Jan. 12, Commission received two bids.
The Joseph Company, of Austin, Minn., submitted a base bid of $12,273,272; Snyder Construction, of Clear Lake, made a base bid of $12,752,032.
According to Airport Manager David Sims, the bids are currently under review and the Commission has not yet set a date to meet and act on the terminal project.
