Come and go events planned in Clear Lake
Feb. 8-9
Planning resumes this week to develop a joint comprehensive plan for Clear Lake, Mason City, and the unincorporated areas of Cerro Gordo County.
A public open house is scheduled today (Thursday, Jan. 26) from 4-6 p.m. at the Mason City Pubic Library. Open houses are also scheduled at the Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 8 and 9.
The public is invited to drop in between 4 and 6 p.m. Feb. 8, and between noon and 1 p.m. Feb. 9 to view plan advancements and design concepts.
The ideas which will be presented were developed following public meetings held in December in Clear Lake and Mason City. Persons attending those meetings brainstormed about future development, transportation, recreation, infrastructure, and renewable energy–among other topics.
The final North Iowa Corridor Joint Comprehensive Plan will be completed in the summer of 2023.
