Clear Lake senior Travaughn Luyobya has been named to the Iowa Print Sports Writer’s Association Class 3A All-State Second Team.
Luyobya, who was also a unanimous First Team All-North Central Conference pick, put his name in the Clear Lake High School record books in a number of categories during his senior season.
The three-year starter finished as the school’s sixth best in total fieldgoals made in a season with 174 and ninth all-time with field goals made in a career, 309. He is also ninth all-time in free throws made in a season with 77. He broke the school record for assists in a season with 229 and is now the school leader in assists in a career with 533. He is fifth all-time for CLHS in steals in a career with 128.
In 24 games played this season, Luyobya led the Lions with 430 points on 57 percent shooting. He led the team in steals with 48 and was second on the team in rebounds with 113.
