Registration is now open for the summer baseball and softball programs at the Clear Lake Youth Athletic League. Registration is $40 and due by April 15 for boys in grades K-5 and girls in grades K-3. Late registration is $50 if received with payment or pay via Venmo on the website.
The McDonald’s Rookie League, a four and five year-old T-ball program for children who have not yet entered kindergarten, is $25 with a May 11 deadline. Participants for Rookie League must turn four by June 1 to play this summer. T-shirts will be guaranteed for the first 80 participants in the CLYAL Rookie League and handed out before the first game on Saturday, June 3.
Forms can be downloaded at www.clearlakeyal.com. Charlie Brown in Clear Lake will have Rookie League registration forms. Borderline baseball registration forms are available for sixth and seventh grade boys at the Clear Lake Middle School with a deadline of March 13. This is a travel league program. Borderline Softball registration forms are also available on the website with a due date of March 13 for girls in grades fourth-sixth.
The CLYAL encourages early registration. For more information on leagues, please check the website as teams, starting dates and schedules will be assigned in the middle of May.
Rookie League T-ball games will begin Saturday, June 3 and continue for five weeks with all games played at 9 and 10 a.m. The CLYAL also encourages everyone to follow the Facebook page for updates.
