It’s official, the Clear Lake Water Department declared “ice out” on Clear Lake Wednesday, April 5.
Last year the official ice out date was March 25, 2022.
The earliest ice out date on record is March 5, 1931 and the latest ice out date on record is April 28, 1951.
At the time the lake was declared iced-in (Nov. 21, 2022) the water level was measured as -11.16 inches below the weir.
This week the Water Department reported Tuesday, April 11, the lake level is 2.76 inches above the weir.
