Three members of the Clear Lake girls soccer team were awarded First Team All-North Central Conference honors and one more as a Second Team selection following balloting by conference coaches.
Seniors Brooklyn Eden and Ella Nielsen, and sophomore Addison Jones were First Team picks.
Eden scored 12 goals and finished with 29 points while playing in 11 conference games.
“Brooklyn is a very determined soccer player,” said Coach Gregory Jennings. “She is extremely fast and has good vision, which makes her hard to defend.”
Nielsen put in 15 goals and was the team’s leading scorer in conference play with 37 points. She also topped the Lions in assists with seven.
“Ella is a very hard works and is always where she needs to be. She is a great team leader,” said Jennings.
Jones scored 15 goals and finished with 36 points in 11 conference games. She was credited with six assists.
“Addison was extremely relentless and she gave 100% effort all of the time. She could see the field extremely well.”
Freshman Avery Hegtvedt was a Second Team All-NCC selection.
“Avery was a very calm and patient player. She has a lot of confidence and has a very high soccer IQ. She is a great worker and team player,” said Jennings.
