Three Clear Lake golfers cap season with individual honors

The Clear Lake girls golf team capped another successful season, culminating in a third place finish at the State Tournament.  Three golfers claimed many individual accomplishments this season.

Meghan DeLong made the All-State Tournament Team, All-State Team, All-Conference Team, and All-Regional Team.  She was the Regional Champion, finished second in Conference and got third place as an individual at the State Meet, for the third straight year.  She also claimed the Class 1A State Coed Championship title with her partner, Elijah Anderson.

Rebecca DeLong made the All-State Tournament Team, All-State Team, All-Conference Team, and All-Regional Team.  She was the Conference Champion for the second year in a row and placed second at Regionals.  She finished second at the State Meet as an individual.  She and her partner, Taylor Plagge, tied for second place at the Class 1A State Coed Championship.

“Rebecca’s second place finish at the State Meet as an individual, was the highest finish for a Clear Lake girls golfer in school history,” said Clear Lake girls golf Coach Colby Andrews.

Macey Holck made First Team All-Conference.  She also made the All-Regional Team for the second straight season. She placed sixth.
