Man arrested following assault

On Thursday, June 29, Terry Harley, 43, of Fort Worth, Texas was arrested after an assault at Clear Lake’s 4th of July celebration.  The incident was caught on camera.

Harley was arrested after punching a person whom he had recently fired.  Court documents said Harley approached the victim, who was sitting on a park bench, and hit him several times in the face.

Harley is facing a charge of assault causing bodily injury.  He was booked in the Cerro Gordo County Jail and was later released on bond.

Harley, who is a carnival worker, was arrested last week at the Howard County Fair, in Cresco.  According to the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, officers reported to the fairgrounds for an alleged assault.  Harley was arrested  for pepper-spraying people intentionally and without being provoked.  

Harley was arrested for that incident on Sunday, June 25, and charged with assault causing injury (serious misdemeanor) and assault causing serious injury (Class D felony.)
