It was another tough outing for the Lion girls as they drop another game. The Clear Lake volleyball squad traveled to Webster City to face the Lynx where they kept it close, but couldn’t quite close the games out.

Going through four sets, the Lions biggest loss came by only four points.

The first set saw the Lynx defeat the Lions, 25-23 before the second set saw the four point deficit of 25-21.

The Lynx battled back in the third set to take a 25-23 victory and to force a fourth set.

It was a battle to stay alive in the game for the Lions and with the game tied and the winner needing to win by two, it fell the way of the Lynx.

Webster City came away with a 26-24 victory to win the match 3-1.

Stats for the contest were not available at press time.

The Lions are back in action Thursday, Sept. 28, against Forest City.

The Lions will get to be home once more for the first time in over a week.
