After suffering the first defeat of the season, the Lions will once again hit the road, this time traveling to Charles City to face the Comets (3-5).

Leading the Comet offense is senior quarterback Jordan Foster.
Foster has completed 62-of-133 passes for 894 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The senior leader can also run the ball, rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown.
His favorite target through the air is fellow senior Keenan Wiley.
Wiley has caught 34 passes for 517 yards and seven touchdowns.
Another senior, Isaiah Roe, leads the teams backfield, carrying the ball 67 times for 348 yards and two touchdowns.
The defense is led by Josiah Cunnings, another senior, who has recorded 60.5 tackles, two for a loss, one fumble recovery and one interception.
The Comets average 4.5 yards per carry (compared to the Lions 5.7 ypc) and 14.2 yards per catch (compared to the Lions 17.8 ypc).
The Lions continue to be led by the same nucleus that has taken them through eight weeks of football.
Cael Stephany sits under center and has passed for 708 yards on 39 completions and has thrown for seven touchdowns and rushed for 124 yards and one touchdown.
Thomas Meyer remains the favorite target with 19 receptions for 335 yards and four touchdowns and Titan Schmitt has carried the ball 201 times for 1,201 yards.
Aidan Hartl has recorded 46 tackles, seven for a loss, two sacks and one interception through eight games to lead the Lion defensive effort.
Clear Lake, as a team, has recorded336 tackles, 11 sacks and 49 tackles-for-loss while recovering seven fumbles and snatching five interceptions, one for a touchdown, this season.
The Lions average 16.2 yards per kickoff and 8.5 per punt.
Kinnick Clabaugh handles kicking duties for the Lions and has kicked the ball off 42 times this year for 12 touchbacks and 2,096 yards.
Clabaugh is five-for-five on field goals, 28-of-28 on points-after-touchdowns and has a field goal long of 37 yards this season.
The loss the Lions suffered last Friday put them in the number six spot on RPI rankings, dropping from first overall last week, meanwhile, Charles City sits at number 28 in the RPI rankings.
Friday night’s district matchup will be the final regular season contest and will take place in Charles City with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
