Malorie Hallock, 39, of Clear Lake, was arrested by the Clear Lake Police Department following an investigation that determined Hallock had stolen deposits from a Clear Lake business totaling over $123,000 between January 2023 and October 2023.
The local business, Studio 65, is located in the 200 block of U.S. Highway 18, in Clear Lake. Hallock was an employee of the business.
Hallock was arrested on Nov. 16 and charged with First Degree Theft, a class C Felony. She has been released on bond from the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Anyone with any further information should contact the Clear Lake Police Department at 357-2186.
Hallock is scheduled to appear in Cerro Gordo County Court for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 1.
