A handful of Clear Lake Lion boys track and field members traveled to Mason City for the Riverhawk Boys Indoor Track Invitational Monday, March 4.
The Clear Lake 4×200 team finished third overall behind Linn-Mar and Algona in a time of 1:40.06, the best finish of the day for the Lions.
The 200 meter dash saw sophomore Sam Dodge finish seventh in a time of 24.41, while Evan Allie, of Algona finished first in a time of 23.37.
The 400 meter dash was run by freshman Isaac Brownlee in a time of 54.81 for seventh place. Jameson Witt, of Ballard, finished first in 52.66.
Cael Stucky finished the 800 meter run in 2:33.79, which was good for 31st.
The 4×400 team ran a 4:08.57 which finished sixth as Woodward-Granger finished in 3:42.64 for first place.
The 4×800 team finished 17th overall in a time of 10:12.37.
In the 1600 meter run, Caleb Jones finished 19th with a time of 5:21.74.
The Long Jump saw Isaac Brownlee take ninth overall with a leap of 19-00.25.
Taking seventh overall in the shot put was Landyn Lewerke with a throw of 46-00.75.

Championships
Last Thursday, the Lions traveled to Ames for the Indoor Championships at the Lied Recreation Center at Iowa State University.
The Lions finished 15th overall with a small sample size attending the meet, but saw plenty of good things on the track and in the field.
Titan Schmitt finished fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.39.
In the high jump, the Lions saw Dylan Litzel finish ninth, clearing 5-11.
Max Larson was 15th with a height of 5-05 cleared.
The shot put saw Landyn Lewerke finish ninth with a throw of 44-03.75.
Aaron Richtsmeier finished 29th with a throw of 35.05.75.
`The Lions will host the North Iowa Indoor Championships on March 22.
