Two popular perennial spring events have combined to blossom into an even larger celebration for North Iowans in April.
The Clear Lake Earth Day Committee and Healthy Harvest of North Iowa have partnered to launch the North Iowa Green Expo and Market from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. This jam-packed event will feature a variety of local food producers selling their food and vendors representing outdoor adventuring, solar, smart homes, conservation, wellness, healthy business products, and sustainable services, plus other topics and non-profit organizations.
The event is free and open to the public.
“This event combines two annual events, the Green Expo and Farm Fresh Food Fest/The Gathering, into one celebration of spring, the upcoming farmers market season, and all things “green” and sustainable,” said Andrea Evelsizer, Executive Director of Healthy Harvest.
“We’re excited to expand support of local and regional businesses and non-profit organizations that contribute to the vitality and health of their communities,” said Clear Lake Earth Day Committee Chair Jan Lovell.
Space is limited and vendors are encouraged to register at their earliest convenience online at https://earthdayclearlake.org/events/green-expo.
There will be food samples and a cash bar.
