NIACC women place eighth at Emporia meet

The North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC) Trojan women’s track and field team traveled to Emporia, Kan. to compete in the Emporia State Relays last Thursday.

Taja Conley, of Paullina and a graduate of South O’Brien High School and freshman at NIACC, placed eighth in the 400 meter hurdles.

Conley ran a time of 1:9.71 which ranks fifth on NIACC’s all-time 400 hurdles list.

Also in the 400 hurdles, NIACC freshman, Lilly Radcliffe finished 16th with a time of 1:11.71, which ranks 10th on the school’s all-time 400 hurdles list.

In the 100 hurdles, NIACC’s Maddy Welbes, of Sheffield and a graduate of West Fork High School, finished 20th with a time of 17.17.
