The Clear Lake Lion girls soccer squad dropped two more games last week to Humboldt and Aplington-Parkersburg. The Lions now sit at 1-5 on the season.

Clear Lake 1
The Lions hosted Humboldt on Thursday, April 11 in a game that saw some good temperatures. Midway through the first period the sky opened and rain made the artificial turf field, and ball, slippery.
It was a low scoring affair, but the Humboldt Wildcats struck first with a Tielyr Smith goal just after the rain began.
The Lions answered back with a goal from Addie Cooper and at halftime the game was tied.
Lion goalie Rowan O’Keefe stayed busy with 17 saves on the night but a second goal was able to slip past her. The Lion offense was unable to find the net again in the second half giving the Wildcats the North Central Conference victory.
The Lions recorded four shots, and one on goal on the night, while the Wildcats saw 26 shots with seven on goal.
