The Clear Lake Lion girls soccer squad defeated its Webster City foes April 22, before dropping a 4-0 contest to the Cardinals of Garner-Hayfield-Ventura.

The Lion girls improved to 4-5 on the season with a 2-0 win against the Webster City Lynx Monday, April 22, in Clear Lake.
With 10 shots on goal and 13 shots altogether, the Lions saw goals from freshman Charlie Jane Larsen and sophomore Addie Cooper.
Addison Jones had one assist and six shots with three on goal.
The Lions scored the first goal in the first period and added their insurance goal in the second to lead the Lynx.

It was a tough night out against the Cardinals on Tuesday, April 23, as the Lions fell to 4-6 on the season with a 4-0 loss to Garner-Hayfield-Ventura.
The Lions had only one shot on goal against the Cardinals, while the Lion goalie Rowan O’Keefe stayed busy defending the 24 shots on goal the Cardinals kicked her way.
O’Keefe allowed four to get by with 17 saves on the night.
