The Dragonfire Dancing Horse Troupe, a performance group from the facility of the same name in Hampton, Iowa, was requested by the Ventura Public Library to perform on June 18 to a crowd of excited local children as the kickoff to their summer reading program. The Troupe demonstrated their ability to ride horses through a wide variety of technical feats.
The riders performed a selection of different showcase techniques. Trick riders performed acrobatic stunts from the back of their horses, from standing up to hanging off the saddle or using lassos. Rider groups demonstrated their ability to move their horses into various challenging formations. There was even a mascot who invited the audience to dance to the music.
Throughout the show, show host Kelly Renolds kept up the energy by emphasizing how difficult the techniques were and how proud she is of her performers for their dedication. Dragonfire Dancing Horses continues to perform for audiences, provide boarding for horses, and provide riding lessons for aspiring horse riders and the average horse lover alike.
