On Feb. 22, 2024, Cory Allen More, 33, from Manly, Iowa, was arrested on charges stemming from a federal indictment for possession of a firearm by a drug user. The charges are contained in an indictment filed on Feb. 14, 2024, in United States District Court in Sioux City.
During the month of October, 2023, the Clear Lake Police Department initiated an investigation which concluded with a search warrant executed at More’s residence in Manly. Several firearms, ammunition, and narcotics were recovered from the home.
The Clear Lake Police Department was assisted by the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Forse, Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office, Manly Police Department, Worth County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives, United States Marshal’s Service, and the United States Attorney’s Office Norther District of Iowa.
