Tyler LeFevre, one of the senior class speakers, summed up graduation the best, “as soon as we walk out of these doors, we will all be on our own separate path. New colleges, new careers, new lives. But every person sitting on the hardwood right now will have one thing in common, we are Lions. Never forget where you came from, and never forget the legacy you are leaving.”
Graduation exercises for the Clear Lake High School class of 2024 was held on Sunday, May 19, at 2 p.m., in the Clear Lake High School gymnasium. One hundred and twelve students received diplomas.
Superintendent of Schools Doug Gee gave the welcome. Special music, “Walk on the Water” and “Alleluia” Manuel, was performed by the Chamber Singers.
Honored speakers who addressed their fellow graduates were Xada Johnson and Tyler LeFevre.
School Board President Chyrl Bergvig gave remarks from the Board of Education and she also awarded the diplomas. High School Principal Chris Murphy presented the awards and the class.
Following the traditional hat toss and the “Lions Fight Song” the seniors were sent on their way to begin the next chapter of their lives.
