Authorities are continuing to investigate who is responsible for leading law enforcement on a high speed chase in and around Clear Lake Oct. 1 in a stolen vehicle.
According to Lt. Dana Knutson, of the Iowa Highway Patrol, at approximately 8:40 p.m. officers attempted to stop the driver of an orange Ford Edge which had been reported stolen in Clear Lake. The driver refused to pull over and attempted to elude officers by traveling at speeds reaching 120 mph. The vehicle was located the next day in Fertile, Iowa.
