The Charles City Comets streaked past the Lions last week. Clear Lake (1-5) was shut out, 9-0, in a tennis match played Tuesday, April 18.
Coach Kate Mulder said despite the loss, she saw growth in her players.
“We saw a lot of improvement this week with our doubles teams,” said Mulder, pointing to the fact that each team picked up three wins in their match. Kara Ouverson also played her first varsity singles match of the season.
