Council sets public hearing on budget amendment for 19-20

The Eagle Grove City Council reviewed an amended city budget, as presented by City Clerk & Chief Financial Officer Susan Maier, for the current fiscal year at their phone conference meeting this past Monday night. They also set a public hearing for the May 18 meeting to take comments and act on the amendment.

The document shows an additional revenue transfer in of $1.1 million, with additional expenditures out of $1.117 million. Any increase in expenditures set out will be met by the increased non-property tax revenues and cash balances not budgeted or considered in the current budget.”

The Council approved payment application no. 3 to Rasch Construction for $80,416.07 for the Rotary Addition-plat 1 subdivision in southeast Eagle Grove.

In other action the Council:

-approved building permits for Dave Poncin (sidewalk), Mike Kahle (fence), Ken Baker (porch), Steve Cram (fence) and Ryan Pedersen (10×12 building);

-approved beer/liquor licenses for Fareway and Kum & Go.
