During the week of July 27, 2020, the 2020 Street Construction Project is anticipated to begin. The project will commence with two Sanitary Sewer Manhole replacement and associated Sanitary Sewer main extension on SW 2nd and SW 4th Street in the City of Eagle Grove. Sanitary Sewer work is expected to be at the intersection of SW 2nd Street and S. Cadwell Ave and at the intersection of SW 4th Street and S. Lucas Ave.
Weather permitting, the week of August 17, 2020, Fort Dodge Asphalt will begin their roadway reconstruction work on SW 2nd and SW 4th Street. The project will be between the intersections of S. Iowa Ave and S. Lincoln Ave on SW 2nd Street and between Commercial Ave and S. Park Ave on SW 4th Street.
Work is anticipated to include curb and gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk and driveway removal and replacement conforming to ADA rules and specifications, 6’’ modified subbase improvement, 6’’ asphalt surfacing, sanitary sewer manhole and main removal and replacement, and other work necessary to complete the work. Weather permitting, the entire work is expected to last 30 working days.
The City of Eagle Grove is asking residents and commuters to obey all applicable construction and detour signs for the safety of the workers. For residents that live within the construction area or access their properties within the construction area are asked to find other suitable parking areas.
