Celebrating 100 Days of school at Eagle Grove Elementary

Eagle Grove Elementary kindergarteners and first graders enjoyed some very special activities in school on Monday, Feb. 1.  It marked their 100th Day of School, and to celebrate being 100 days smarter, they got to do thinks like count out 100 pieces of cereal before enjoying breakfast at the desk, color 100th Day of School hats with 100 items on them, enjoy Trail Mix snacks with 10 pieces of 10 different snacks in the cup, and all kinds of other things that taught them about counting to 100.

The kindergarteners enjoyed coming to school in their best 100-year-old outfits, some even sporting canes, curlers in their hair, and suspenders.  The first graders also got to make a 100th Day poster featuring 100 items of their choice.  They were so incredibly creative.  Of course, there were some traditionally popular posters like 100 Goldfish crackers glued in a fish pond, 100 puzzle pieces, and more, but there were also some wildly creative ideas like 100 bandages, 100 hands, 100 Triceratop spikes, and 100 Golf Tees that made part of the solar system.

Such creativity and such a great project for these students to do at home with their families.  It just goes to show, learning is always fun at Eagle Grove Elementary.
