“It’s hard to get up for an 11 am game,” stated head coach Mike Herrington. “We started sluggish, but were still only down by two going into the second quarter. We always seem to have trouble keeping our momentum from the first to the second, and that was the case here. We got outrebounded. You have to be able to box out and to want the ball more than your opponent. Not getting defensive rebounds allows teams to get their offensive rebounds and second or third shot points. We did play better throughout the second half, and got it down to a six point game late. Then we had three possessions where we rushed shots or turned it over. The Broncos also shot over 20 more free throws. That made a big difference.”
