The last couple of weeks we have brought you articles explaining the City of Eagle Grove ordinances as they pertain to snow ban parking and clearing snow from sidewalks. This was done in an effort with the Eagle Grove Police Department to make you aware of what is expected of the residents of the community during the winter months.
Eagle Grove Police Department Chief of Police Ray Beltran has announced an update to the fines that may come if you do not follow the snow ban rules. At the last Eagle Grove City Council meeting, a vote was taken to increase snow ban parking tickets from $25 to $50. If these fines are not paid, they will be enforced when you go to the courthouse to renew your driver’s license.
If you missed the specifics of the above mentioned ordinances, you can find the snow ban parking story in the Feb. 3 edition of “The Eagle Grove Eagle,” and the shoveling story in the Feb. 18 edition.
