Women’s clothing, men’s clothing, children’s clothing, household decor, shoes, make-up, purses, jewelry, pillows, rugs, toys…and so much more awaits you inside one of Eagle Grove’s newest businesses, Fashion Garage. This little gem is located at 103 W. Broadway, next to the new Mexican grocery store.
The new business that literally has something for everyone is family-owned by Victor and Lucy Moreno and their daughter, Dalia Moreno. The family lived in Eagle Grove for more than 15 years before moving Dows, but said when they decided to open a business, they knew they wanted it to be back in Eagle Grove.
“We love Eagle Grove…and a lot of people know us here,” said Victor about their decision of where to open the store. “We wanted to find something different to offer the community.”
And that’s exactly what they’ve done. Although the name says “Fashion” Garage, there is so much more to this store. In addition to the items listed above, you can also make an appointment to have your hair cut and/or styled by Dalia. You can even get a manicure or have your make-up done for a special day because she is a licensed cosmetologist.
The Moreno’s have been working on setting up the Fashion Garage for six months, and they are excited to finally announce that they are officially open and ready for business. They did a quiet opening during the recent Ladies’ Day Out shopping event, and they were excited that it went quite well for them.
“We waited a long time to start our business, and every time somebody comes here, you will feel comfortable and at-home shopping with us,” said Victor. We feel like everyone is our family and we treat them all like family.”
After all, that’s what they learned about running a family business from Victor’s father, who also ran his own business at one time. Although Victor’s son is not part of the Eagle Grove store, he too runs his own business. He makes authentic clothing in Mexico.
Speaking of authenticity, the Moreno’s are proud to offer hand-made earrings that also come from Mexico. There will be no pairs exactly alike since they are handmade. Also hand made are leather cell phone cases…but you’ll just have to stop in and see for yourself all of these great treasures, and more, at Fashion Garage.
They are holding their Ribbon Cutting ceremonies on Wednesday, May 26 at 2 p.m. They are hoping to welcome a large crowd to the event to take a look at all they have to offer this community. New merchandise will rotate in as things sell.
Business hours for Fashion Garage will be Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
“We love Eagle Grove, so we’ve tried to make something nice for our community,” concluded Victor.
