Roughly 60 Eagle Grove Elementary summer school students got to spend some time at the Eagle Grove Memorial Library having a little fun last Thursday morning, June 10. In fact, they will be doing so every Thursday throughout the month of June.
During their first trip on Thursday, June 3, they had a great time learning about the great outdoors from the Wright County Naturalist who was on hand to give a presentation.
This past week, on June 10, the morning started off with a story from Children’s Librarian Renee Evje, and then they got to burn off a little energy playing a variety of outdoor games. The kids, and their teachers, rotated around giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, giant Kerplunk, Legos, and tag. It was easy to see the kids had a blast. So did some of the teachers that got involved in either playing with the kids or capturing the excitement for social media.
Evje was glad to be able to welcome the young learners back into the library after having been shut down last summer due to COVID.
