Iowans who are in need of dental work, but can’t afford it, will have access to free treatment in Eagle Grove this October. Jordan Moffitt and the Moffitt Dental Center are proud to announce that they will be participating in the 2021 Iowa Mission of Mercy (IMOM) Free Dentistry Day on Friday, Oct. 29. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come-first serve basis between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Dr. Moffitt has been volunteering for the IMOM for roughly 10 years now (even before he was in dental school). So when he got word that the annual event was going to be canceled this year due to COVID, he knew he wanted to at least do something. As the current serving vice president of IMOM, he decided the answer was to host a free dental work day at his office right here in Eagle Grove.
According to Dr. Moffitt, services that will be available that day include fillings, extractions, and treating people who have any dental pain. Joining him and his team in Eagle Grove will be several area dentists, hygienists, dental assistants, and other volunteers, providing dental care to anyone who needs it.

The Iowa Mission of Mercy is nearing their 15th year of offering free oral checkups and dental work to patients who are either uninsured or under-insured.
The Missions have seen more than 15,000 patients and have donated more than $10,000,000.00 in free dental care for needy Iowans.
