According to Eagle Grove Fire Department Chief Tom Peterson, the Eagle Grove Fire Department was paged out at 9:23 a.m. Wednesday morning, Sept. 22, to a fire at Lewright Meats on the 100 block of North Iowa Avenue. The EG Fire Department was on the scene for four hours and was assisted by the Goldfield Fire Department. Extensive damage was done to the building and contents. No one was injured. The Fire appeared to have started in the area of the smoker.
