Eagle Grove high school football awards

Though there was no trophy held at the end of the season for the Eagle Grove Eagles, the team united together at the end of it all to reward each other for their hard work and dedication to the team. On November 8, the Eagles came together to celebrate their teammates by nominating each other for individual awards. Head coach Logan Willard admires this tradition by stating, “I think the best part of the player nominated awards is that it is truly their program and a good perspective on how they see their teammates. It is cool to see through their eyes which players worked hard and made a big impact on the season.”

When asked what the biggest, most important changes that need to be made for next season, Coach Logan Willard explained, “We just need to continue the momentum going from this past season into our off season workouts and use it to get our numbers up. We need more numbers so that we can build a good lower level/JV program.” Willard finished by confirming, “This will help with future player development.”

With the Eagle’s football season over, the Winter sports season will commence, kicking off with boys basketball at home against CGD on November 29 at 7:30 PM, girls basketball at home against Bishop Garrigan on December 10 at 6:15 PM, and finally boys wrestling at Wapsie Valley High School on December 4 at 10 AM.
