‘It’s the REAL Santa!’ — Minds Blown as Santa Stops in Eagle Grove

Santa Claus rode into town on his sleigh on Saturday the 4th, to find out what all the good little boys and girls want this year. And boy oh boy did those girls and boys come out of the woodwork!

JML Photography of Mason City secured their spot on Santa’s “nice” list by enduring the cold to take photos. And made full quality copies of their professional grade images available for download to all the proud parents and loved ones of all the kids, absolutely free!

“I’m glad that they brought Santa to town, rather than having to go somewhere else,” said Brittany Strikland, as her youngsters posed with Santa. Giving voice to the sentiment many seemed to share.

The old song about when Santa comes to town goes “you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why…” But nevertheless, a little crying and pouting took place. Though of course that’s to be expected of the very little ones. But otherwise reactions were overwhelmingly positive, as Santa was made to feel as much at home here in Eagle Grove, as he would at the North Pole.

One of the strongest reactions came from three year old Ariella Amador. Seeing Santa on his sleigh just about blew her mind! “It’s the REAL Santa,” the three year old exclaimed as soon as she saw him. And although she was shivering, she didn’t hesitate to clamber aboard Santa’s sleigh and give him a big ‘ol hug! In fact, she was so starstruck by St. Nick that she actually forgot to tell him what she wanted for her presents. When her Mom Whitney Willard reminded her to tell Santa what she wanted, she threw her arms wide and exclaimed, “so much stuff!” Which, after all, really does sum it up nicely. Once again proving the truism about wisdom coming from the mouths of babes.

And it wasn’t just the kids that got into the action. A few kids at heart even climbed up into Santa’s sleigh. Proving you’re never too old to get in the spirit of the season. Here’s hoping everyone gets what they really want most of all.
