Take & Make Ornaments a Hit at First Bank

When Customer Service Representative for First Bank Jill Link got the phone call from Real Estate Loan Officer Tracy Douglass, asking her to come in and help for a little while even though she was on maternity leave, Jill was actually excited to go in to work. That had a lot to do with just what Tracy had planned: helping kids make ornaments, sure to become family keepsakes, for their Christmas trees.

“I just like seeing everybody from the community coming out and enjoying themselves,” Link said.

Drew Dooley couldn’t have agreed more. “I love this kind of stuff,” Dooley said, as his kids crafted away with the help of Link and Douglass.

There was a wide assortment of ornament kits to choose from, and Douglass and Link were attentive to the kids, who came up with some clever adaptations to the kits.

There were free Russel Stover candies as a reward for a job well done for the kids. And a few adults were seen sneaking some too. One I even saw in the mirror.

And for the lucky winning grown-up was a gift basket, being raffled off. But Dooley was more interested in winning “Dad points,” pointing out that a happy family was the true Christmas miracle.
