After 7th in tournament, Eagles pin 46-36 success over Vikings

The Eagles saw a rather successful week for wrestling, after placing 7th in the Chris Davis Invitational located in Wapsie Valley High School. The results are as follows:

Nashua-Plainfield – 199 Central Springs – 159 Wapsie Valley – 143 South Winneshiek – 108 Anamosa – 103 Oelwein – 93 Eagle Grove – 83 North Linn – 74 Waukon – 73 Riceville – 57 Rockford – 39 West Fork – 31 HLV – 30 Tripoli – 24

Following the middle of the standings result, the Eagles prepared for their next matchup as they travelled to Northwood-Kensett to take on the Vikings for the very first time. The Eagles wrote the pages of history as they faced the Vikings for the first time, and ending the night with an important win. Defeating them in their own home, the Eagles defeated the Vikings 46-36. It wasn’t just a competition for obtaining points, but a battle for winning. After a loss to Humboldt, the Eagles craved a win versus the Vikings, and in the end they got what they came for. A crushing 46-36 victory for the Eagles, and the hope for another victory, the Eagles will face multiple teams for the Bob Roethler invitational at Emmetsburg High School on Saturday, December 11, at 10:30 AM.
