Eagle girls host final home game versus North Union, lose to North Iowa

VS. NORTH UNION
The Eagle girls hosted their last home game on Tuesday, Feb. 1, as they were defeated by the North Union Warriors 56-15.

The first quarter began with sheer domination from the Warriors, who smashed 15 points in the first eight minutes of the game. The Eagles responded with four points, as they were down 11 points heading into the second quarter. The second quarter felt like an exact continuation of the first quarter as the Warriors continued to drain points over the Eagles. The Eagle girls fought hard despite the score. Conceding 14 points in the second quarter, the Eagles added another four points. With the arrival of half-time, the Warriors were up 19-8.

The second quarter opened with an even more dominating performance from the Warriors as they added 21 points over the eager Eagles. Scoring another four points, the Eagles stood with 12 points while the Warriors had 40 as the two teams headed into the fourth and final quarter. The final quarter saw the least amount of points scored from both teams. Though the game was arguably already won by the Warriors, the Warriors continued their dominance scoring six points while the Eagles added three before the conclusion of the hard-fought battle. The game ended 56-15 with the Warriors on top.
