Chamber plans biggest Ladies Day Out yet, changes starting location

The annual Ladies Day Out event put on by the Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce was originally scheduled to start at Memorial Hall, and then move downtown. But those plans have now changed, and the event will now start out already downtown, at the Eagle Grove Chamber of Commerce office, at 212 W. Broadway.

“Ladies Day Out is an event run by our Ambassadors group,” said Chamber director Sara Middleton. “It’s a combination of several different types of events to create a unique experience for our community.” Describing the event further, Middleton said, “it’s part Sip & Stroll, part vendor and craft fair, and all fun!”

The event is expected to be larger than ever this year. “We’re so excited to offer lots more free goodies to ticketed attendees, and more unique activities for all. It’s bigger and better this year in every way.” Said MIddleton. There are two locations of vendors and crafters planned, as well as pop-ups inside several of the specialty shops where shoppers can also find games, drawings, promotions, and sample sips and treats. A pop-up restaurant is planned in Memorial Hall from Nine & Dine. And Lazy J Rescue Ranch will be outside Memorial Hall with games and merch, “and maybe even a rescue animal or two to take a photo with you”, Middleton suggested.

Middleton was proud of the prize offerings as well. “The raffle baskets are even better than last year—which is an astounding feat by our Ambassadors because they were incredible last year.”

Tickets are not required to attend, but ticketed attendees get access to special coupons and “tons of freebies”, Middleton said. With the “freebies” for ticket holders including a Shop Hop game that leads to a final location and a free gift.

Purchasing tickets is easy by design. “We wanted to make purchasing tickets for Ladies Day Out as easy as possible,” Middleton explained, “so we’re having an in-person opportunity to see the swag bags with all the free goodies, purchase your $20 event tickets, and get a sneak peek of all the raffle baskets.” Middleton encourages those interested to come to the Chamber office on Thursday, April 28th, between 3pm-6pm or Friday, April 29th, between 3pm-6pm, “and we’ll show you all the fun stuff you get with your ticket!” Tickets can also be bought or reserved online, via telephone or email, or in person at the Chamber of Commerce office, during regular office hours, Monday-Friday.
