Auditions for musical
Announcing "Dramapalooza" 23rd Annual Drama Camp for Grades 4-7. Acting Skills through the Eyes of a Puppet is the 2022 theme. Register online to build a puppet and use it to tell a story on the four Saturday mornings in May. Public performance will be June 4th at Rowan Fun Day.
IRP will be holding auditions (tryouts) for an off-Broadway musical "The Fantasticks" on Saturday, April 30 & Sunday, May 1 at 7:00 pm at the theater in Rowan. There are parts for 2 "mature" male actors , 2-3 various comic actors, a leading man, a young man who can pass for 20 and a girl who might be 16 or so.
Slated for a local production on August 4-14, "The Fantasticks" has been running in NYC since 1960 except for pauses for 911 & Covid-19, both events that demonstrated the great value of building community events that draw us together in the face of troubles and tragedy.
