In the first weekend of May, Lazy J Rescue Ranch (LJRR) hosted a May Day FUNdraiser where they delivered almost 200 May Day baskets to local nursing homes as well as private homes in Eagle Grove, Clarion, Humboldt, Fort Dodge, and the surrounding area along with Butter, one of the rescued goats who resides at LJRR. Proceeds from fundraisers go directly towards specialized, nutritious diets for each animal, quality vet care, safe shelter, and upcoming projects.
Lazy J Rescue Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue/sanctuary located just outside of Goldfield, which is dedicated to providing a forever home for all animals who have been abused, neglected, or forced to feel unloved. The Ranch currently has plans to improve barn roofs and siding to increase winter warmth and is accepting project bids now.
