Last Tuesday the Eagle Grove Elementary School’s kindergarteners and first graders held their “Spring Into Music” concert, and they all sang their little hearts out.
First up were the kindergarteners, who started with a classic every kid should love, the “Mickey Mouse March” by Jamie Dodd. From there they went into that old familiar folk song, and “BINGO” was its name-o. After that, the wheels on “The Bus” went round and round. Then they woke up “The Old Grey Cat”. And they ended up by fitting in “10 in the Bed”.
Then it was the first graders turn, and they got things going with the Puerto Rican folk tune “Mi Cuerpo” (My Body). Then they hit the scales with the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic “Do, Re, Mi”. Then things got a bit insane with “Boom Boom, Ain’t it Great to Be Crazy.” Then they went for a little ride with Jeff Moss’s “Let’s Go Driving”. Before at last they took things from A to “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” by Allie Wrubel.
There were many smiles and giggles on stage and off, and even the entertainers seemed to leave entertained!
