The Eagles softball team picked up their first win of the season on the 6th playing against Garner-Hayfield-Ventura in a thrilling 5 to 3 contest.
Garner started things out with 2 runs in the 2nd before the Eagles got in the game strong in the 3rd. Addy Jeske doubled, and scored on a single from Sabring Flumerfelt. Then Nadia Kaiser bunted a single that put Flumerfelt over the plate. Then Braxton Steil put Kaiser past the plate too. Then Brooklyn Osborne pushed Steil past the plate for the 4th run of the 3rd. And the score was Eagles 4 GHV 2.
Flumerfelt scored again in the 5th on a wild pitch. Winning pitcher Brooklyn Osborne then drove in the final run, after striking out 7, giving up 5 hits, 3 runs, and walking 3.
