After taking on the home team in West Hancock’s diamond, the Eagle Grove girls stuck around to play Manson-NW Webster in a regular season matchup away from home for both teams.
Right away it was clear that this was a game that was going to be about scoring, as both teams got right up on the board with 1 each in the 1st. Then in the 2nd it was the Eagles’ inning as they plated 4 to the Cougars 1. And the Eagle gals took the lead 5 to 2.
From there the Eagles kept right on dominating. They plated 2 and allowed none in the 3rd. Then ran one across the home plate in the 4th, and still kept the Cougars off it. In the 5th the Eagles doubled up their 4th and went double to nothing on the Cougars.
From there neither team scored again and it was a wrap for the Eagle girls, 10 to 2.
