NU Warriors make quick work of Eagles Softball in one sided heartbreaker

The North Union Warriors traveled to Greenwood Park in Eagle Grove to take on the Eagles for an early evening regular season game last Wednesday.

The Warriors came to play and they were on fire from the start. They put 4 on the board in the 1st, playing heavy offense as the Eagles struggled to resist.

In the 2nd the Eagles put up a valiant fight, successfully defending against the aggressive Warriors offense. But they also found themselves stopped by an equally good Warriors defense. And neither team got on the board.

In the third, however, the Warriors hammered home run after run, putting 8 more runs on the board before the inning closed. While still holding the Eagles back from the home plate.

And that was all there was to that as the 10 run rule kicked in, ending the game before even the halfway mark. With the Eagles suffering a tough defeat at the hands of a well oiled North Union offense that got up to bat 21 times to the Eagles’ 8. Final score: 12 to zilch, for the Warriors.
