Eagle Grove’s Boys Cross Country team headed to Webster City to participate in the Webster City Cross Country Meet at the end of August, Friday the 29th. 15 teams competed overall, with the Eagles finishing 7th.
Senior Drake Weland was the Eagles’ top scorer, placing 18th in a field of 68 competitors, with a time of
Eagle Grove 19:27.00. Junior Noah Thul took 26th with a time of 19:54.00. Sophomore Zach Hogrefe took 32nd place, with a time of 20:37.00.
In the bottom half of the field, Freshman Felix Gonzalez took 37th with a time of 20:58.00. Senior Dustin Dawson came in at 39th place with a time of 21:06.00. And sophomore Dylan Beck finished in 41st place with a time of 21:38.00.
All in all, a strong showing for the Eagles.
