Despite the loss, game featured some great plays by the home team!
The Eagle Grove Eagles took it on the chin in the final home game of the regular season on Friday against the South Hamilton Hawks, losing 60 to 14.
The first half was a complete loss for Eagle Grove as South Hamilton racked up 16 and then 26 points in the first and second quarters respectively.
After halftime, however, the Eagles took to the field ready to fight and determined to get on the scoreboard. And although the Hawks clearly brought their A game to town, that is exactly what the Eagles did.

In the third quarter Eagle Grove managed to score their first touchdown, also pulling in the 2 point conversion. But South Hamilton put another 18 on the scoreboard in the third, bringing the score to 60-8.
In the 4th quarter the Eagles had finally managed to wear South Hamilton down, keeping the visitors out of the endzone. While managing another touchdown as well. Putting the final score at 60-14, for the Hawks.

In spite of losing, Eagle Grove's players put in strong individual performances. Cayden Schultz led the team in rushing yards with 107 over five attacks. Including one thrilling 66 yard run leading to a touchdown! Quarterback Tate Richardson and Wide Receiver Johnny Pamperin were on the bookends of the other touchdown in the game, and also leading in passing and receiving. Richardson had 37 passing yards and two completions from eight attempts. Pamperin had 28 receiving yards in his one reception of the game, taking it all the way in. Korey Anderson led in defense, with six tackles. Zach Pamperin also made a couple of stops that made the highlight reels.
