Souper Duper Food Drive

It started with the Methodist church, which issued a challenge to the other churches in town to see which church could collect the most cans of soup for the food pantry. "We were getting really low on soup," said Cheryl Hanson, who volunteers at the Food Bank, "so this is awesome!"

Well, they sure collected a lot! More actually than they could count. But enough to fill up the bed of a pickup truck nicely, and briefly take the wind out of three men after carrying it all in (yours truly included).

"It's fun to see which church wins," said Linda Spangler, "but the real winners are the hungry people."
