Five Eagles signed to collegiate football teams

Last Thursday was a big day for the Eagle Grove football program as five members of the 2023 graduating class signed with college football teams.

 

Zach Pamperin will be joining the Chargers football team at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. Briar Cliff is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Chargers play in the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), comprised of 11 Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska private schools. Since 1966 the BCU athletics program has produced 210 All-Americans, played in 61 NAIA tournaments, and been represented in 12 GPAC championships and 10 national championships.

 

Tate Richardson will be joining the Beavers football team at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. Buena Vista is a member of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and an NCAA Division III school. The BVU athletics program has produced 260 All-Americans and 33 Academic All-Americans, played in 60 A-R-C championships, and boasts 11 individual NCAA Division III National Champions, and one Team NCAA Division III National Championship.

 

Corey Anderson and Cayden Schultz will both be joining the Kohawks football team at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Coe College is a member of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and an NCAA Division III school. Coe's football program has produced 65 Alappeared in l-Americans and 4 Academic All-Americans, taken 17 conference championships and appeared in 11 NCAA football playoffs.

 

Trenton Sorensen will be joining The Storm at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. Simpson College is a member of the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C), and an NCAA Division III school. Simpson athletics has had two NCAA National Championships and five NCAA Regional Championships, and 68 NCAA tournament appearances, including 6 NCAA football tournaments. In the A-R-C Simpson has had 105 Conference Championships including 12 football championships. In team sports alone Simpson has had 68 All-Americans including 34 All Americans in the football program.

 

Congratulations to these players, their families, and their coaches, and good luck to them in their collegiate careers!
