Some members of the Eagle Grove Boys Cross Country team started to get ready for the upcoming season by running in the Webster City Firecracker 5K, presented by First State Bank and Town & Country Insurance..
The race consisted of both park trail routes and paved roads. Most of the course was flat but there was one hill. Only two water stops were allowed.
In a very large and talented field of runners, Noah Thul and Zabdi Castro finished in the top five of their age group. Noah came in 4th in his age group and 8th overall. Zabdi came in 5th in his age group and 9th overall.
Coach Mike Herrington completed the race as well.
