This time of year many of us think of it as a time of change in our lives, hopefully in a positive way. Becoming your mayor comes with many responsibilities and challenges which I hope to fulfill in a positive way.
This week I have spent time at city hall getting acquainted with some of the staff and hope to get around to the rest of the city departments in the coming week. We will also be working to fill positions on the different boards and the vacant council seat.We do want to thank Mat Jergens for his many years of service to the city as well as Councilman Weland and Mayor McGrath for their devotion to the city over the years.
Over the next several weeks the council and city staff will be working to get 2024 projects on target along with getting the city budget set.
Your input to your council representative is important for them to understand what people want done. Please reach out to all of us while we consider these important details.We will have the 1st council meeting in the books when most of you read this so stay tuned for details of coming projects and future events.
